What is FTP?
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a terminology used, when a user is uploading/downloading files from/to the website, on another remote computer.

How does one do that?
You need to use a FTP client software. Win98 comes with an inbuilt one, which is not very user friendly, hence it is better to download a client from one of the our link provide to you form our download section. Clients such as WsFTP and Cute FTP are most preferred ones.


How does a FTP work or what is the role of ftp in networking?
FTP process is used primarily used to transfer files between one computer to another remote computer.

FTP is comfortable with what type of files?
You can transfer any type of file with FTP, however be careful to set the type to BINARY, else images etc may get corrupted.

How do I configure it?
On most FTP clients, you will require 3 pieces of information.
Username (This is the username we mail you)
Password (This is the password sent out)
Server/Host name (this is your domain name ftp.yourdomain.com)

Can I have multiple FTP access?
Only one FTP account per domain/webspace is allocated.

Can any anonymous user login to a members site and upload his files?
No. This is not possible due to security & firewall restrictions from the server.

Do you give FTP account in the same package?
Yes, if a client subscribes for a web hosting account.
